Wordnot is designed to be played without tracking, surveillance, or personal data collection. We do not sell data, use third-party advertising trackers, or track you across the web.

Wordnot does not require account creation, passwords, phone numbers, or credit cards to play. We do not collect:

Your name, address, or contact details
Your personal browsing history
Biometric, financial, or sensitive personal information

2. Gameplay Telemetry & Analytics

To balance puzzle difficulty, tune level par times, and detect bugs, we collect anonymous gameplay metrics powered by Cloudflare edge services:

Anonymous Player Identifier: A randomly generated cryptographic ID (UUID) stored locally on your device to remember your streak and unlocked puzzles.
Game Progression: Puzzles started, cleared, or restarted, solve times, and hints used.
Technical Data: Device category (mobile, tablet, desktop) and country code derived from Cloudflare edge network routing to ensure fast regional content delivery.

3. Local Storage (No Tracking Cookies)

Wordnot does not use HTTP tracking cookies. We utilize your browser's standard localStorage solely to remember your essential game state:

Unlocked levels (1–200) and star ratings
Daily puzzle streak and calendar history
Audio and visual color theme preferences

4. Cross-Device Progress Sync

If you choose to use our Device Sync feature, your game progress is temporarily stored under an anonymous transfer code (e.g., WNOT-XXXX). This code is not linked to your identity or email.

5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Wordnot is family-friendly and accessible to all ages. In full compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we never knowingly collect or store personal information from children under the age of 13.
